In this class, we practice using out voice! We learn when it is okay to say no! We sing! We dance! And best of all… we Power Pose!

Learn how to make the most out of your built-in defenses from a certified instructor with years of experience working with children and young adults. Begin by learning how to shock an assailant, progress through strategic defense movements against punches, wrist grabs, grabs from behind, chokes and hair pulls. Leave with “everyday use” skills for escaping without harm.
Being on your own for the first time can create a lot of anxiety. As women, we have a unique set of fears regarding our safety. Conversations about campus, dorm safety, and new social situations can be helpful in creating proactive safety plans. This program will provide a safe space for your fears and allow you to build mental preparedness and action-plans for different scenarios, including basic self-defense moves.
Have a ‘To-Do’ list that never gets done? Adjust your daily routine to keep you on task. Identify what items are in your way. Learn exercises and movements that keep you focused. Create a more productive work/play environment and watch that ‘To-Do’ get ‘To-Done’!
You don’t have to be a dancer in order to benefit from these ballet exercises. Come raise the barre with a certified ABT instructor and enjoy this low impact, high energy workout that will help you build a lean physique and improve your flexibility.
